The porridge is Hainanese style, which is not as creamy like cantonese and not as light as teochew. Every grain is mashed into million pieces and cant be seen. Sells 30 bowls per hour and earns around $400 000 per month.The queue can stretch from one end to another of the hawker centre. The queue is always there. If you do not see a queue, do not be happy. The soya milk drink ( tau huay zhui) is ...near mortals. Besides those Tau and Huays, They also sell Ang Ku Kueh and a wide selection of snacks ( Crystal Dumpling,peanut ball) and the also must try You Char Kuay a.k.a. the You Tiao. There is another beancurd stall beside it the 'Mineryin' or whatever. The beancurd ( i've tried, of course) is slightly (non-obvious)smoother than the original Beancurd stall BUT!!! THE FOLKS IN ERMINYINBEANCURD ADDED AN UNPLEASANT ESSENCE INTO THEIR BEANCURD TO MAKE IT SMOOTHER. As you know,..ya.. The coconut floss is a first grade with no hint of sourness (This is probably why it closes 2pm every single day as the coconut will turn sour in the afternoons). The The cake melts in your mouth and it tis warm and comfortable.As for the ondeh ondeh, it is made right on the spot. The gula melaka filling is put inside and rooled. After it is rolled, it is dumped in a boiling pot of water, and a la minute later, it pops out and it is rolled on a plate of grated coconut.When u bite, the filings inside explodes.Ping Pong Ball size.No coloring are added.Do not have photo of ondeh ondeh cos they already sold out when I reached here. I heard reports that the queue at suntec is probaly only like 1hr-2hr long. Maybe because of the excellent organisation there...Over there, there is two queue. Though they had won many awards, gone on TV, and has perpectual queues, they are still very very friendly. Note: Both are chrisitans. One is ''Dessert Tree'' and another one is '' Eng Kee Hot and Cold desserts. There is alot of variety, and most importantly, it is economical and has generous servings of ingridents.Very friendly too. Takeaway add 20 cents. Reccommend: ICe kacang: Simple, Cheap n Good. Three Flavours: Gula Melaka, Rose syrup n Green syrup.Four ingredients: Cendol stripes, Chin Chow, Attap Chee, Red Bean. Only $1.50.
